The study modes explained

What each mode does and when to use it.

Each study mode serves a different purpose. Here's what each does and when to reach for it.

  • Answer Imprint — shows the correct answer up front to build memory. Use it first on a new category.
  • Recognition Drill — quizzes you and reveals the answer after you pick. Your day-to-day workhorse.
  • Full Practice — the whole bank for your exam, or a single category. Use it to make sure you've covered everything.
  • Weak Point Focus — only the questions you've missed or flagged. The fastest way to raise a score.
  • Exam Simulation — a timed, scored mock exam under real test conditions. Use it to gauge readiness.
  • Quick 10 — a fast 10-question warm-up across all categories. Perfect for a spare few minutes.
A study question showing the multiple-choice layout shared across modes
The question layout is consistent across modes; what changes is when the answer and explanation appear.

You can filter most modes to a single category (Weather, Airspace, Regulations, etc.) when you want to target a specific topic.
