These Terms govern your use of the Aviation Test Prep website, mobile app, and related services ("the Service"), provided by Checkride Solutions, Inc., doing business as Aviation Test Prep ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.
2. Subscriptions & payments
- The Service offers free content (a limited preview) and paid access to the full question bank and features for specific FAA exams.
- Purchases made on the web are processed by Stripe and billed by us.
- Purchases made in the App (if enabled) are processed through Apple's or Google's in-app purchase systems and are subject to their terms. You manage, cancel, or request refunds for those subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings — not through us.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge (Apple / Google rules apply).
- Prices and plans may change prospectively; we will give notice as required.
3. License & acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the content; reverse-engineer the Service; or use it to build a competing product.
4. Content & intellectual property
FAA handbook materials and regulations are U.S. government public-domain works. Our questions compilation, explanations, software, design, and branding are our intellectual property (or our licensors'). "Aviation Test Prep" and our logos are our marks.
5. Study-aid disclaimer (important)
The Service is a study aid only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any government agency. Our practice questions are aligned to the current FAA Airman Certification Standards (ACS); they are not the FAA's official question bank. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any exam or certification. Always rely on official FAA publications and a certificated instructor for authoritative guidance.
6. Explanations
Explanations are AI-generated and may be reviewed by a human; despite review they may contain errors. They do not constitute flight instruction or professional advice.
7. AI Tutor & fair use
- The AI Tutor is an optional Premium feature that answers your study questions using AI grounded in our FAA-sourced content. It is provided on a fair-use basis: usage is rate-limited and subject to a monthly message cap so the feature stays available and affordable for everyone. We may adjust these limits, and we may suspend access for automated, abusive, or excessive use.
- The AI Tutor is a study aid only. Its responses are generated by an AI model, may be incomplete or incorrect, and are not flight instruction, an instructor endorsement, or legal, operational, or professional advice. Always verify against official FAA publications and a certificated flight instructor before acting on anything for real-world flight.
- Do not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information to the AI Tutor, and do not use it for anything other than your own aviation study. Your questions and the study context are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) as described in our Privacy Policy; they are not used to train AI models.
- The AI Tutor may be enabled, disabled, or changed at our discretion and is not guaranteed to be available.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
