Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM) is a systematic approach to the mental process pilots use to consistently determine the best course of action in response to a given set of circumstances. It requires being aware of your own limitations and well-being, both physical and psychological, before and during a flight. The goal is to break the "error chain" before a series of small mistakes can lead to an accident or incident. Think of it as having a disciplined thinking process for good cockpit decisions—not just relying on gut feeling.
