What is aircraft logbooks?

Aircraft logbooks are official records that track an aircraft's total flight time, maintenance, repairs, alterations, inspections, and compliance with any FAA safety mandates called Airworthiness Directives. Separate logbooks are required for the airframe, each engine, and each propeller.
