Direct Entry
What is direct entry?
A holding pattern entry used when you arrive at the holding fix from the sector aligned with the inbound (holding) course. You simply fly directly to the fix, then turn to follow the holding pattern's outbound and inbound legs. Think of it as the simplest entry: cross the fix and just start flying the racetrack.
