Precision Approach
What is precision approach?
A precision approach is a standard instrument approach procedure that provides both vertical (glideslope) and horizontal (course) guidance to the runway. The approach profile shows the glideslope angle of descent, threshold crossing height (TCH), and glideslope altitude at the outer marker. On the test: if it gives you vertical guidance (like an ILS glideslope), it's a precision approach—nonprecision approaches give lateral guidance only.
